Feel like yourself again.

Wired but Tired? Foggy? Not Quite Yourself?

If you nodded, you’re in good company. These experiences are common through perimenopause and menopause, after having a baby, and after years of carrying everyone’s mental load. They can be signs that your nervous system has been stuck on high alert for too long. When it stays there, sleep, focus, mood and even bladder urgency can all feel harder to manage.

Brain Fog

Walked into the room and forgot why? Slower thinking, forgetfulness and losing your train of thought are signs your brain is running on empty.

3 a.m. Wake-Ups

Wide awake with your mind racing while the house sleeps. Restless nights that never feel restful leave you flat by mid-afternoon.

Wired but Tired

Exhausted, but somehow you can’t switch off. That is what a nervous system stuck in high gear feels like.

Stress That Won’t Let Go

You used to handle this. Now everything feels like too much, and your fuse is shorter than it used to be.

Low Mental Energy

Motivation and drive have slipped, and the things you used to enjoy take effort. It’s like someone dimmed your light.

Not Quite Yourself

Feeling on edge, irritable or overwhelmed, and quietly wondering where the old you went.

Symptoms like these can also have other causes, such as thyroid or iron issues. Check in with your doctor about anything new or worrying.

From our founder

Why I brought NEUROSPOT to UROSPOT.

Erin Craven, founder of UROSPOT on removing brain fog and feeling calm.

Erin’s personal experience. Individual results vary.

I was waking up at 3am with my mind racing … wired but tired. My focus and productivity were gone. The brain fog, the low energy, not really feeling like myself. After NEUROSPOT, I sleep through the night now. No more 3am brain-spinning sessions. I honestly feel calm. My mental energy is high, and it’s like I feel like myself again.

TMS, decoded
  • Transcranial

  • Magnetic

Focused pulses, felt as light tapping on the scalp.

  • Stimulation

Encourages brain cells to fire together and reconnect. Scientists call this neuroplasticity.

About NEUROSPOT

TMS, Explained in Plain Language.

NEUROSPOT is a short, structured program built around TMS, which stands for transcranial magnetic stimulation. The safety and efficacy of TMS is well established. It has been studied for over 40 years. It uses gentle magnetic pulses to encourage activity in one specific area of the brain, without medication, needles or surgery.

During a session, a small coil rests lightly against your head. Its pulses reach the left prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that helps manage focus, mood, sleep and your response to stress. You stay awake throughout the session. Most people describe a light comfortable tapping sensation; tell your practitioner if it feels uncomfortable.

The brain can adapt its connections over time, a process called neuroplasticity. TMS research explores how stimulation may influence these connections. NEUROSPOT’s consultation helps you understand the program, the current evidence and whether it fits your goals.

How it works

How NEUROSPOT Works.

EXOMIND™ delivers targeted magnetic pulses to areas of the brain associated with mood regulation and cognitive function.

“What is EXOMIND? How does it work?” from BTL, the maker of the EXOMIND system NEUROSPOT uses. Prefer to read? TMS explained in plain language.

  1. A coil rests on your head

The EXOMIND coil sits lightly against the left side of your head. Nothing is inserted, there is no anaesthesia, and you stay awake, clothed and comfortable.

  2. Targeted magnetic pulses

Focused pulses pass through the skull to the left prefrontal cortex, a region associated with mood regulation and cognitive function. Most people report the session as comfortable.

  3. Stimulation of brain activity

TMS can influence activity in targeted brain circuits. Researchers are studying how these changes relate to well-being. The ExoTMS studies described below used 4 to 6 sessions; your practitioner will discuss an appropriate plan.

  • About 24 minutes per session
  • No needles, anaesthesia or surgery
  • Sessions spaced days apart

Why UROSPOT

Why a Pelvic Health Team? Because Your Nervous System Connects It All.

UROSPOT is Canada’s largest pelvic health provider for women and men. For years we’ve helped people regain bladder control, strength and confidence, and we’ve seen how closely the brain, bladder and pelvic floor work together. They’re in constant conversation through your nervous system.

When that system is overloaded by stress, poor sleep or hormonal change, symptoms in one area can make the others harder to shake. That’s why we see nervous system regulation as a key part of complete care, and why we’re the right team to bring NEUROSPOT to you.

Many clients choose to combine the two. At your consultation we’ll recommend what fits your goals.

Who it’s for

For Women at Every Chapter. And for Men too!

Perimenopause and menopause

The 3 a.m. Wake-Ups, the Fog and the Short Fuse So Often Arrive Together.

Shifting hormones can affect the brain circuits that manage sleep, mood and thinking. NEUROSPOT is not hormone therapy. It works on the nervous system side, as a non-hormonal option you can talk through with your doctor.

  • Waking at night with a racing mind
  • Brain fog, forgetfulness and slower thinking
  • Feeling on edge, irritable or overwhelmed
  • Low mental energy and motivation

The High-Functioning Mom

You don’t have a diagnosis. You have a career, a household and a mental load that never switches off. NEUROSPOT is designed for foggy, frazzled and running on empty.

Postpartum

Broken sleep, brain fog and emotional overload are common after a baby, often alongside pelvic floor concerns. Your team will help you decide when the timing is right.

The Menopause Transition

Sleep that never feels restful and mental energy that has slipped are common here too. NEUROSPOT supports focus, calm and vitality as part of your long-term wellness.

In a study of 14 postmenopausal women, participants reported changes in mental energy, focus, calm and sleep. See the research.

Midlife and beyond

Not as Sharp, Not Switching Off, Not Waking Up Rested. It Rarely Arrives Alone.

From around 40, testosterone gradually declines, and many men notice the mental side first: fatigue that rest doesn’t fix, a harder time concentrating, a shorter fuse and sleep that doesn’t restore. NEUROSPOT is not testosterone therapy. It works on the nervous system side, as a non-hormonal option you can talk through with your doctor.

  • Losing your train of thought, or slower to find the word
  • Stress that never fully switches off, even on days off
  • Waking early, or sleeping without feeling rested
  • Low drive, patience or motivation

The High Performer

Founder, executive, tradesman running a crew. The work doesn’t stop, and neither does your brain. NEUROSPOT is designed for focus that has flattened and a system that can’t downshift.

The New Dad

Broken sleep and a heavier load land on fathers too, and men are less likely to say so. If you’re running on empty in the early years, your team will help you decide when the timing is right.

Midlife and Beyond

Sleep that never feels restful, mental energy that has slipped and a shorter fuse are common from 40 on. NEUROSPOT supports focus, calm and vitality as part of your long-term wellness.

The ExoTMS sleep-and-stress study and the mental well-being study both enrolled men and women (adults 22 and over). See the research.

Sessions aren’t daily, so the program can fit around your routine. Your response and exact plan are reviewed with your provider.

Safety

Is TMS Safe? Side Effects and Who It Isn’t For.

TMS is non-invasive: there’s no anaesthesia, no needles and no surgery, and it doesn’t act on your whole body the way medication does. TMS has been used with hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, and no serious adverse events were reported in the ExoTMS studies described above.

What you might notice

  • Light tapping or clicking while the pulses are delivered
  • Mild scalp discomfort where the coil rests
  • For some people, a short-lived headache afterwards
  • Serious side effects are rare, and your team will explain the risks fully before you begin

Not suitable if you have

  • A pacemaker, defibrillator or other implanted electronic device
  • A deep brain stimulator, vagus nerve stimulator or cochlear implant
  • Metal in your head or near the coil, such as aneurysm clips or stents (standard dental fillings are usually fine)
  • A history of seizures and epilepsy

Every client is screened at their consultation. NEUROSPOT is delivered by trained UROSPOT team members with medical oversight.

NEUROSPOT is designed to support mental well-being. It doesn’t replace care from your doctor or mental health professional, so keep taking any medication as prescribed and speak with your doctor before changing it. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 9-8-8, Canada’s Suicide Crisis Helpline, any time.

Frequently asked questions

Have Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

What is TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation)?

TMS uses focused magnetic pulses, delivered through a small coil resting on your head, to encourage activity in a specific area of the brain. It has been studied for more than 40 years, it is non-invasive, and it needs no anaesthesia. NEUROSPOT uses ExoTMS™ to support the parts of the brain involved in focus, mood, sleep and your response to stress.

What is NEUROSPOT?

NEUROSPOT is UROSPOT’s nervous system program. It uses EXOMIND™ TMS technology, a Health Canada-licensed device, in a plan of 4 to 6 short sessions designed to help with mental wellness and nervous system regulation.

How many NEUROSPOT sessions will I need?

Most plans are 4 to 6 sessions. Your exact plan is decided with you at your complimentary 20-minute consultation, based on your goals and your health history.

Does TMS hurt?

For most people it isn’t painful. You’ll feel a light tapping on your scalp, and the pulses ramp up gradually. Some people notice mild scalp discomfort during a session or a short headache afterwards. Tell your team at any point if something feels uncomfortable and they can adjust the intensity.

Is TMS safe? Are there side effects?

TMS is non-invasive: no anaesthesia, no needles and no surgery, and it doesn’t act on your whole body the way medication does. The most common effects are light tapping, mild scalp discomfort and, for some people, a brief headache. Serious side effects are rare, and none were reported in the ExoTMS studies described on this page. Everyone is screened at their consultation, and TMS isn’t suitable for people with certain implants or medical devices.

Do I need to try medication first, or stop my medication?

No. You don’t need to have tried or failed any medication to explore NEUROSPOT. Tell us about everything you take at your consultation, and don’t change or stop any prescription without speaking to your doctor first.

Can TMS help with perimenopause or menopause symptoms?

Many of the women who ask about NEUROSPOT are in perimenopause or menopause. In a study of postmenopausal women, participants reported changes in mental energy, focus, calm and sleep. NEUROSPOT is not hormone therapy and doesn’t replace medical care, so it’s worth discussing alongside advice from your doctor. Individual results vary.

How soon will I notice a difference?

It varies from person to person. Some people notice changes early in their series, and responses may change across the sessions. The studies described on this page measured how participants felt at one month and at three months after finishing their sessions.

How long is a session, and is there downtime?

A session takes about 24 minutes, plus a few minutes of set-up at the start. There is no downtime, so you can walk out and go straight back to work, family and your day.

How is NEUROSPOT different from other TMS clinics?

TMS protocols vary by condition and provider. Some depression programs at private clinics involve visits over several weeks, and some use sessions as short as 3 minutes. NEUROSPOT offers a wellness program of 4 to 6 sessions, about 24 minutes each, spaced days apart. It is offered by UROSPOT’s pelvic health team. This shorter wellness program is not a substitute for a prescribed depression-treatment course.

Is NEUROSPOT right for men?

Yes. The technology works the same way for men, and men are welcome. The plan is the same too: 4 to 6 sessions, set at a complimentary consultation. See who NEUROSPOT helps: men.

How does NEUROSPOT connect to pelvic floor care?

Your brain, bladder and pelvic floor communicate constantly through your nervous system. UROSPOT’s pelvic health experts see nervous system regulation as a key part of complete care, and many clients pair NEUROSPOT with pelvic floor care. Your team will recommend what fits your goals. Learn about UROSPOT’s pelvic floor technology.

Where is NEUROSPOT available?

NEUROSPOT is available at participating UROSPOT locations. It is currently offered at UROSPOT London, Ontario, with more locations planned. See the location details above, or contact us and we’ll let you know when it arrives near you.

What does NEUROSPOT cost?

Your first step, a 20-minute consultation, is complimentary. Your personalized plan and everything it includes are reviewed with you at that visit, so you can decide with all the information in front of you.

What happens after my sessions?

Your practitioner will talk with you about how to keep your progress going, which may include occasional follow-up sessions. Nothing is decided until you’re ready.

Drug-free. No downtime.

Take back your focus, your sleep and your calm.
Your comeback starts today.
